A close gameJuly 4, 2008 @ 12pm in Peru (186 days ago) - View/add comments at Blogger.com As I've mentioned before, Peruvians (and Aussies) love their sport! While we've been here we've had plenty of chances to play different games - it seems like every group we talk to wants us to play with them.
We headed down to the indoor stadium again for some indoor soccer the other night, with a few of the local staff (and friends from our hotel).
We split into two teams and played two games, winning one each. We then had a third shorter game, and that was a 1-1 draw!
Following this we had a penalty shoot out, 5 shots each. Andrew and I were playing on the Peruvian team, and out of the five shots each, only my shot went in! So we won the night 1-0 in the penalty shoot out.
It was a fun, but long night of soccer (after a big days work).

Here's some of the penalty shoot out action - Pepe the hotel manager is on strike, and Jayden has discovered a new-found talent of goalkeeping - he's very good at it!
Now it's Jayden's turn to take a shot at the Peruvian keeper
And, sorely, this blister was one of the results of working all day then playing all night in the same pair of shoes and socks :-|
